Africa's rhinos are closer to extinction more than ever due to poaching.
International crime syndicates drive this poaching crisis to meet consumer demand for
rhino horn — demand primarily in Asia to buy rhino horn for (scientifically disproven)
medicinal purposes.
The absence of this keystone species would create a severe imbalance in the ecosystem.
And the African landscape would forever become a distinctly different and
barren place in this world.
