Generation Awakening featured in The OC Register

June 6th 2013 was a big day for Generation Awakening, our organization was featured in the OC Register! While we were at a city council meeting proposing to ban plastic bags in the city of Fountain Valley, in early May, a journalist approached us and wanted to know more information about our organization. She followed up with us throughout the week and before we knew it we were schedule for a photos hoot with a photographer from The OC Register. This was our first publicity opportunity and we are more than grateful to have been featured in our local newspaper and hope to educate and reach a bigger audience. The article talks about how we started Generation Awakening and about our current campaign we have running, in hopes to raise $11,000 for biologists in Africa to collar 2 elephants for research and conservation studies. Our elephants are in danger of being wiped from our planet if we don’t step up to protect them, which is the unimaginable. If you are interested in donating to this cause please click on our donate link and message us so we can send you a thank you gift.
