BREAKING: Japan has OFFICIALLY announced that it will STOP all whaling

BREAKING: Japan has OFFICIALLY announced that it will STOP all whaling in the antarctic after being forced to do so by the UN International Court of Justice. The Court of Justice agreed with Australia, who brought to attention in 2010 that Japan’s so-called “research” program was not at all for science of any sort, but rather to slaughter whales for profit and human consumption.
Japan stated that although it is “deeply disappointed” by the decision which was “attempting to force Australia’s cultural norms on Japan”, it will abide by the new rule and discontinue all hunting of whales in the Antarctic.
This is a major stride in progress towards conservation and will save countless lives of whales who call the Antarctic home. Japan was killing over 1,000 whales a year. Let’s hope this move in the right direction will be a permanent end to Japan’s whaling and the start for other countries still hunting whales to follow.
